after 3 days in the hospital, mom and baby were discharged this morning and everyone is resting comfortably at home. resting uncomfortably at home is beanes, who is a little confused about what's going on. he seems to love the idea of wesley, but isn't quite sure how to handle him. beanes quickly tried to lick his face off but, following our doctor's advice, i pulled wesley away. but that didn't stop beanes from following wesley around, especially when he was crying. after a new diaper and some food, wesley settled in for a nice long nap, and mom and dad spent that time resting and running errands, respectively. wesley's waking up now, so the next 12 hours should be interesting and fun...

Happy Birth Day!

Wesley Thomas Ouderkirk arrived at 8:57am today, weighing in at 9 lbs 3 oz, and measuring 22". He hasn't even been here for 12 hours but we can't imagine life without him.
